Chico Hamilton makes an early personal appearance with his group in the Alexander Mackendrick 1957 movie "Sweet Smell Of Success" playing himself.
Although the main score for the film was composed by Elmer Bersnstein, Chico is featured here in this album playing numbers that were featured by him in the film. Additionally, a so-called "Concerto Of Themes" is also included here.
Also, for the first time on CD, coupling the album with Chico's score for the Roman Polanski thriller "Repulsion" - his first film in English which starred Catherine Deneuve.
The album is crammed with authoritative notes about both films and an interesting biography on Mr. Hamilton.
