A wild one -- very different from Pike's MPS work at the time, but no less madder! This one features Pike working with a group of American jazz all-stars -- including Lee Konitz on alto sax, Don Friedman on piano, Chuck Israel on bass (electric and acoustic), and Eddie Daniels on tenor and clarinet. The groove is a mix of modal and wild -- with tracks that are kind of a progression from Dave's Pike's Peak album on Epic. Titles include "Free Improvisation", "The Drifter", "The Doors Of Perception", and "Anticipation".
