COSMIC SOUNDS REMIXED vol. 2 - Various Artists
NEW CD
London based , Belgrade émigré Zeljko Kerleta releases his most assured album yet. When he's not sorting out those licenses for rare East European jazz compiklations (check his Rare Gems series), Zeljko is tirelessly promoting the new sounds of Serbia and this compilation sees tracks from the old and new side of things reworked for the dancefloor.
Kicking off with Butti 49's update of Dusko Gojkovic's Quo Vadis Samba, the album includes alternative takes on Janko Nilovic's Giant Locomotion from London's Block 16 and Belgrade's 'Painkiller Septet' alongside So Hayashi's space jazz version of Jan Wroblewski's 'Katorna' and Ex-Robot's broken jazz reworking of Kerleta's own 'Move With Time'. File next to Compost and watch this label grow. (Andy Thomas)
