A great sampler of rare jazz from Italy -- recorded in the 60s and 70s, and almost impossible to find otherwise!
The album includes some incredible work by lesser-known European players -- like Italians Enrico Rava, Ranato Sellani, Mario Sciano, and Paolo Conte -- plus rare recordings by Americans like Chet Baker, Helen Merrill, and Lee Konitz. The quality is excellent throughout, and it really makes us wish that we could get some of these albums on their own!
