A great batch of groovy tracks from vibist Dave Pike! The album was one of Dave's first real standout successes -- and it features him plaing vibes with a hip group of players that include Billy Butler, Herbie Hancock (on organ!), Clark Terry, and Grady Tate. The sound is a nice mix of jazzy grooves and slightly funky/slightly easy playing -- in a manner that works perfectly with the space helmeted model on the front cover! Tracks include "When I'm Gone", "Devilette", "Sweet Tater Pie", "Blind Man Blind Man", and "Sunny". Very groovy, very cool, and one of the few great US recordings Dave Pike made in the 60's!
