A groovy soundtrack to a film we'd love to see -- an obscure thriller that starred Henry Fonda and Yul Brynner! The style of the music runs between the two poles of work from Morricone at the time -- with some cuts that are spare, quiet, and very pretty, and others that are fuller, more turgid, and filled with the kind of jagged touches that can make his soundtracks incredibly dark. The main theme -- "Il Serpente" -- is offered in 2 great versions, one spare and pretty, the other a bit more driving, but still pretty darn groovy.
Other tracks include "Canzone Lontana", "Nadine", "Orazione", "Tema Per Una Donna Sola", and "Parata Militare".
