Don Carlos, active as a DJ from the late 70's, debuted as a producer towards the end of the 80's with the single Alone, which became one of the cult tracks of the Ambient House scene. His productions always mixed House rhythms with afro-american jazz sounds, verging sometime towards disco, sometime towards the Philadelphia sound and lately towards electronic soul. In the early 90's Irma released in the US his 'Mediterraneo' album (re-released with additional tracks by Irma Italy in 2004), followed in 1993 by the Montego Bay project, produced by Don Carlos together with Stefano Tirone (aka S-Tone Inc.). He then began to work on his Aquanauts project with Chicago based label Guidance. In the same period he also reached the UK charts with the hit You Make Me Feel, sung by Byron Stingily. His more recent releases include a single on Erik Morillo's Subliminal Blue label. In 2002 Don Carlos released his album Music in My Mind featuring top vocalists like Kim Mazelle, Michelle Weeks and Taka Boom.
