OVERVIEW 

In september 2004 -Crippled Dick Hot Wax!- released a collaboration of Alessandro Alessandroni from Italy with Berlin producers Slope. "Tridem" is the name of this "sundrenched listening-pleasure" (Jazzthetik). Alessandroni, famous for his whisteling on Morricone`s italo-western soundtracks ("Once upon a time in the west", "A fistful of dollars", "The good, the bad and the ugly" and "For a few dollars more" etc), invited Paul and Honesty to his idyllic casa in Bagnaia close to Rome to capture the feeling of a long hot summer on record. With the help of friends like Morricone chanteuse Gianna Spagnulo, Volker Meitz (Fender, Moog), Micatone bassplayer Paul Kleber and many more they made up an exciting melange of Alessandronis classic instrumentation 

with fresh beats and production styles from Slopes Cabinet Studios in East Berlin, from where they already sent out various 12s and an album for Interference and Sonarkollektiv-records to planet groove. On two vinyl 12s we ll now release new interpretations of this succesfull meeting of musicians from the past and the present. 

ALESSANDRONI REMIXES - Welcome 

Maurice Fulton and Olav Brekke Mathisen are kicking of things with their remixes of "Welcome". Colin Corvez and Volker Meitzs voices and breaths within a loose beat make up the essence of this track to which Fulton introduces pathos and excitement by putting wonderfully emotional soundlayers right in the heart of the swing. Class is class stays class, there seems to be no other way for Mr Fulton who adds another stunning gem to his impressive backcatalogue with releases on Pagan, Warp, Tigersushi, Nuphonic, Output and Transfusion. 

Norways Olav Brekke Mathisen made a first impression on the scene with "Crocket & me" from his debut album released on UK's Disfunction label in 2003. He tightens up the beat and adds an acoustic guitar which should help anyone start shaking.The 12¿ also features the WahWah driven supershaky original version By Alessandroni, Paul & Honesty plus an instrumental version.
