 Orazio and Marina, the proprietors of a small guest house, have  a number of bills to settle with Amedeo and Pucci Ferretti.

Unknown to her husband, Maria decides to get round Amedeo, while, at the same time, Orazio attempts a similar undertaking with Pucci.
