OST by Ennio Morricone for the giallo movie ''Il diavolo nel cervello'' (aka ''The devil in the brain'') directed in 1972 by Sergio Sollima and starring Keir Dullea, Stefania Sandrelli, Micheline Presle, Maurice Ronet, Tino Buazzelli, Renato Cestiè, Gabriella Lepori, Orchidea De Santis.
Suspected to have killed his father, cause found shocked close to his parent's body with a gun in his hand, a child is confined in a clinic. A doctor who does not believe to this story, investigates and with the help of the child's mother will discover the scary truth. The psychoanalytic side of the plot is underlined by the fascinating music score by Ennio Morricone, based on a romantic and sad main theme with pop arrangements and the voice of Edda Dell'Orso opposing the mystery and fear atmosphere of the plot. The author also includes fragments of Beethoven's ''Per Elisa'' in an orchestral –sometimes atonal-context.
