KALEIDOSCOPE-S/T-60s MEXICAN PSYCHEDELIC ROCK-NEW LP REISSUE

KALEIDOSCOPE - Same,

Mexico 1969

NEW LP REISSUE

Label: NOW AGAIN

For many years it was a mystery which wild musicians played on this legendary 1969 LP, originally released in Mexico by Discos Orfeon.

Through the years a couple of reissues appeared, but at the time of the release of this Now Again edition, it's known that Kaleidoscope actually featured a bunch of guys from Puerto Rico who recorded this incredible set of top notch garage-psych in the Dominican Republic. This reissue comes with remastered sound and includes an extensive, photo-filled booklet with the story of the band and the album. Note: in 2016 the track 'Let Me Try' was sampled by Just Blaze for Beyonce's 'Freedom.'

Original released in 1969.

One of the treasures of '60s garage psych, this legendary disc was the only album recorded by this band. Thick with swirling Hammond organ and tasty guitar licks that often explode into crazed fuzz, and with great vocals entirely in English, this includes their 8-minute, over-the-top psycho lament "Once Upon a Time There Was a World." The completely wigged acid trip cover art is by the equally legendary Bodo Molitor, and the package includes liner notes in English and Spanish. Mexican import.

New reissue of this rare classic of garage-psychedelia, one of the rarest psychedelic artifacts known to exist and the Holy Grail of South American psychedelics. Recorded in 1969 with an astounding sound, garage-psych of the highest level with lotsa fuzz, devastating organ and very good original compositions sung in English. The sound of this release has been taken from the original masters, which can be seen on the insert that comes along with this release.

Kaleidoscope – From México, typical piece of garage rock-psychedelia, heavy on thick vibrating organ, fuzz guitar and surly vocals.

The album sounds very much like a soundtrack to a circa-’67 psychsplotaition flick, but with a better band than most such films enlisted, with some unpredictable wacky effects and lead vocals (only betraying faint foreign accents) affecting a nonchalant cockiness.

It’s been reported that just a couple hundred copies of the LP were pressed when it first came out, and though it was reissued by La Ciruela Eléctrica, and was a limited edition of only 600 copies.

Kaleidoscope is one of best psychedelic album ever been recorded and among the other 2 rare albums (Mariani from USA and Dark from UK) perhaps the rarest.
Enrique Rivas located all original members as well as the original artist of the cover.

Actually this band was not from Mexico. The musicians came from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Spain and the album was recorded in 1967 in Dominican Republic. The manager took it to Mexico where it had a tiny release of 200 on the Orfeon label.

They where friends of Addib Casta from Ladies WC, Venezuela, so one song is from Ladies WC the rest are all original composition.

The music is amazing heavy guitar based psychedelic of the best kind

Reissue of debut album by Mexican Best ever PSYCHEDELIC band from the 60's.

They sound as PSYCHEDELIC as the early ELECTRIC PRUNES, and originals of this album have probably vanished into collections on other planets somewhere in the galaxie, cause they've vanished from earth; NONE LEFT, GONE!!

Noe is your change to experience this trip digitally and taken from the original masters that were hidden in an Aztec temple
