Saint Just-s/t-'73 ITALIAN Progressive Folk-new 180g LP
Saint Just

Psychedelic Music from Italy
NEW REISSUE LP
Folk Rock with beautiful vocals from Jane Sorrenti.
Based on the beautiful voice of Alan Sorrenti's sister Jane, Saint Just began as a trio with mainly acoustic instruments and mixing together folk, psychedelia and classical influences.
The very good results are demonstrated in their first album, released in 1973 on Harvest.
The soft prog atmospheres are dreamy and enchanting, like in the opening Quando nel mondo distrutto incominciò la vita, and Alan Sorrenti also sang on a track.
A must-have Italian classic!
High quality, heavy 180g vinyl! Special raw textured cardboard sleeve!
180 gram vinyl pressing of the album by Jenny Sorrenti, together with musicians of the caliber of Robert Fix and Toni Verde, with the support of Tony Esposito, formed the Italian progressive folk group Saint Just, who debuted in 1973 with this self-titled album.
The resulting work was a kind of folk that dug deep into Italian (and non Italian) culture of past centuries, particularly the middle ages, and was spiritually connected to artists like Pentangle, Third Ear Band and Steeleye Span.
Rarified atmospheres meld with the inspired horn playing of Robert Fix and the majestically sweet vocals of Jenny Sorrenti (then known as Jane). Saint Just is considered one of the most interesting Italian musical events of the period.
