Baris Manço had been in the Turkish music scene for 20 years at the time of this concert in late 1978. He had given his first concert in 1958 and recorded his first single in 1962, finally having a big hit in 1970 with his 18th Single "Daglar Daglar".
After enjoying a couple of years at the top he was called to do his army service in early 1972 and apart from 3 pre–recorded singles he was away from the music scene for over 18 months.
With a dip in his career after the army service Baris Manço was at a crossroads at the time of this concert, apart from 1 single in early 76 he had not had a Turkish release since 1975’s "2023" LP.
This performance was just before his second big explosion with the "Yeni Bir Gun" LP the following year, the first side of this album is taken up with songs that would form side A of that album, While side B is a look back on his career with songs from the middle part of his career (70–76), a studio version on this potpourri of songs would find themselves on the Disko Manço Album released in 1980.
