Dodson and Fogg biography
Presumably named for the two crown attorneys in Charles Dickens Pickwick Papers, DODSON AND FOGG is actually the project of CHRIS WADE, an English writer and illustrator cum singer/songwriter/guitarist born in Leeds, May 1985. He surrounds himself with folk and prog aristocracy including Celia Humphris (TREES), Judy Dyble (FAIRPORT CONVENTION) and Nik Turner (HAWKWIND) to produce the self titled debut album released in late 2012. It has been loosely described as channeling every laid back British folk troubadour from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Somehow the result is fresh if decidedly retro, with the occasional searing guitar by WADE himself contrasting with his hypnotic melodies and vocal harmonies. This is an act worth discovering and following.

""One of the year's cherished memories." - Shindig
"If there’s any God, D&F should be massive."
James Turner, Classic Rock Society magazine
"The Call is yet another remarkable album by a remarkable artist, one of the best this country has to offer. How much longer is it going to take before the world realises that?" - Pennyblackmusic
"The songwriting is of the highest calibre. If the laid-back ‘Summer Of Love’ dreamy days of 1967 still move you in mysterious ways – then ‘The Call’ should be at the very top of your on-line shopping list – if not, you need to chill out a bit more."
- Get Ready to Rock
"Why this band is not gracing the covers of the mainstream music press is a mystery. Perhaps it is only time; discover them now so you can say you knew them back when. To these ears this is Dodson And Fogg’s best thus far. The amount of ideas in this album is staggering and there is more invention in these tracks than most bands manage in an entire career. Your record collection is a sadder place without this album. Trust me."
- Active Listener
"A resounding triumph." - Rocksucker
"With each successive release the extended inventiveness and undiluted creativity that personifies Dodson and Fogg surpasses the previous offering. And I think it's only time before a lot more people come to appreciate Dodson and Fogg." - Folk Words
