This record is the "case" of the year in Italy: we have here the most talented musician, composer and interpreter that came up with a bunch of songs already representing something like a mile-stone in Italian music history. The music sounds like Tom Waits and Vinicio Capossela spiced with Tarantella & Mediterranean flavors...but in an acoustic new way that enchants for the freshness and the convincing power of the style. Beside "tribal Tarantellas" we can hear soft ballads up to rhythmical intricated tempos where the virtuosity of Giuseppe in bagpipe playing recalls the ancient rural world and, at the same time, his virtuosity at guitar and accordeon mixes blues and Italian folk dances.
