it's been 3 years since codek stunned the world with the release of freddie mas 'what i remember about you' more madness from the 'understudio' . the heat is on... 95 degrees farenheit in brooklyn ny, it's possible to hear the sweat drip over the guitar strings. in flagranti and freddie mas brew up an explosive cocktail of electro/blues/
funk/disco in the form of a nice midtempo dance track.

I know, I know, sometimes we go a lil' overboard with the "oh my god have you ever heard anything so modern ..." comments on some new releases, but as Ms. Summer says, 'this time I know it's for real' ... Freddie Mas is one artist whose rather short discography has been nothing but faultless. In 2003 Codek released Freddie's debut What I Remember About You. In 2004 he returned with A Path, the flip to ESG's classic Party Music on More G.D.M. Vol. 5 (Tigersushi) and now in 2005 Mr. Mas teams with In Flagranti for Teaching Children to Swear. It's a pointless exercise trying to label his work. Just take a look 'n' listen and figure it out for yourself. Also worth checking out are the 2 previous In Flagranti releases on Codek (both of which are in stock now), oh yeah ... Freddie Mas also remixed Blood by Lopazz on Output - way way scarier than anything that Freddie dreamt of. Dig the sleazy creep - the music, that is. I bet Freddie Mas a lovely chap.
