Los Gatos Salvajes 1965-2005 40 Años De Rock De Autor En Castellano

An Argentinian beat band from Rosario fromed by Ciro Fogliatta -who had previously been in The Wild Cats-.

They recruited Litto Nebbia as their vocalist and he persuaded them to move away from performing rock 'n' roll covers to writing their own material and singing it in Spanish.

Their debut single, La Respuesta was the first beat single sung in Spanish. 

Their album was sung entirely in Spanish. Ten of the twelve songs were penned by Nebbia. Musically, it's very diverse.

Quien Vendrá Por Mi? is based on the riff of The Kinks' You Really Got Me.

There's quite a bit of Merseybeat, represented by tracks like Dejame, Dejame, Lo Que Más Me Gusta A Mi,  or Harás Lo Que Te Pida and En Tu Corazón.

It includes their beaty first single 'A' side La Respuestra and a spattering of R'n'B and blues numbers.

The band  re-emerged later as Los Gatos.
