Maxwells-Maxwell Street Danish Progressive music MPS CD
Maxwell Street.
new CD
(Long Hair - LHCD028)
Originally released on MPS in 1969. This is a truly jewel for all progressive music enthusiastics. Ahead of its time the album is an eclectic mixture of beat, psychedelia and little hints of jazz rock. You could compare it to the debut of Burnin' Red Ivanhoe.The14 minute title track maxwells Street sounds like a continuation of the Rolling Stones' Their Satanic Majesties Requests. Lars Bisgaard and Bent Hesselmann later played with the Rainbow Band. Comes with bonus tracks, informative booklet with liner notes by original band member Bent Hesselmann and has been digitally remastered from the original tapes. Highly recommended!
