"High quality print and paper!!!!!
After more than a year since the last issue, Il Giaguaro Magazine is back: back to make you curious, to fill you with passion and surprise you, as all its issues have.
Over the past twelve months we have created a more solid and organized structure, making it as broad as possible in order to give the magazine the weight it deserves on the Italian publishing scene. The new Giaguaro is still bilingual, with 64 full-color pages, all skillfully blended and designed with our usual style. Like all its other issues, it still has a precious freebie: this time it¿s a DVD, a documentary on one of the most incredible and fun parties we have ever been to, Benidorm, Spain¿s ¿The Wild Weekend¿.
The new Giaguaro Magazine has also found a home in the Revolver family, the film production and distribution company, proof of the strong bond existing between the worlds of film and music and between aesthetics and styles mirroring one another. In fact, we here at the magazine will be musical consultants for Revolver productions, while they will sponsor the events organized by Il Giaguaro, beginning with Rome¿s Supperclub Vinile Espresso parties.
First of all, though, Il Giaguaro magazine wants to be a forum for discussion, for in-depth debate, for information aimed at all who love those styles, those unmistakable and seemingly retro atmospheres that are up-to-date now more than ever. That¿s why we will continue to deal with the film, music, design, art and literature we feel closest to, beginning with the issue you are now holding, the cover of which is dedicated to Sandro Simeoni (Symeoni), film illustrator. This was an artist who, through his drawings, stimulated thousands of Italians into going to the movies and watching a wide range of films. A long interview explains his techniques and his pop vision concerning illustration. The magazine¿s initial pages feature news from the film and music worlds, followed by a theme-driven photo report (this issue is dedicated to fashion).
Luca Cirillo and Maurizio Mansueti will make us discover Franco Godi, music composer for Bruno Bozzetto¿s cartoons and for hundreds of TV commercials in the Sixties. To liven up the reading, we then have the strips drawn exclusively for Il Giaguaro by Greg, the well-known Italian TV showman, before we get to meet, thanks to Claudio Fuiano¿s pen, the musical dark side of one of the Italian soundtrack¿s most important composers: Bruno Nicolai. Finally, a huge amount of CD and vinyl reviews that will keep you busy for days, as you wait for the magazine¿s new issue.

In 2003 Alessandro Casella (creator and founder of Il Giaguaro magazine) was invited to Benindorm to be part of the WW DJ team. It was already the second time and he thought to make the journey more interesting. He got in touch with his friend, DJ Dante Fontana, and cameraman Francesco Bonaccorso (a.k.a. Biancosarti) and, together, they decided to go by car - of course a classic car. Out of all the cars in Dante Fontana¿s stable, they chose a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro 5700 V8, a sports car and a fast one, but at the same time a comfortable and reliable one for such a long trip.
They made a journey through Italy, France and Spain. Once in Benindorm they splashed into last year¿s crazy party: a trip through time and space, not just for the music played, but also for the costumes. The first day¿s theme was the past, the second day was the present (but watch it! Not the current present, but the one of 1965). The third day, of course, was the future, the future as imagined in 1965.
In this limited edition DVD you¿ll find the story of this mad journey and a hilarious reportage about what happened in Benidorm in November 2003, when a bunch of great bands and DJ¿s from all over the world invaded the main hall of the Casino Mediterraneo. For three days the WW guests unbridled themselves and danced until the party ended, that means 10 a.m. of the following day: a true marathon of wild fun. The narrator of this ravaging experience is JOHN PHILLIP LAW: the unforgettable hero of Danger Diabolik (1967) Barbarella (1968) and The Hawaiians (1970) introduces to us the incredible adventure of the Wild Weekend, leading the audience through an amazing journey into pure, unchained fun. ¿Il Giaguaro on tour: the Wild Weekend¿ is the ultimate answer to the question ¿How does ¿fun for the sake of fun¿ really looks like?¿

It's been a while since we've heard from these guys -- but it's been worth the wait! This time around, the Il G team are digging even deeper into the world of Italian film, beat, and all things groovy -- coming up with good features on Franco "Signor Rossi" Godi, Aldemaro Romero, Bruno Nicolai, and painter Sandro Simeoni -- not to mention their usual lavish photo spreads, great reviews of music, and a few funny bits to round out the set!

Plus, the magazine comes with a bonus DVD -- featuring footage from the Wild Weekend concert series!
