 Film's Storyline:
 
Bertoldo was caught by the king¿s guards while "dipping" his bread in the perfume of the roasted partridges coming from the king¿s kitchen. Being fined for one bizant, Bertoldo paid the fine by making the sound of a coin when it hits the stone. King Alboino, impressed by the shrewedness of this rustic, bade him at his table. This was the start of a love-hate relationship between Bertoldo and King Alboino. The smart Bertoldo knew perfectly well everything depended on the King¿s mood: today you felt protected by him and maybe tomorrow, out of spite of boredom, you might be left to your fate and be beheaded. The follow up to this beginning is a series of adventures involving Bertoldo¿s son, Bertoldino, Bertoldo¿s wife Marcolfa, the swindler Brother Cipolla from Frosolone and the King¿s court as well.

 Film's Storyline:
 
Silvia Hachermann, the directress of a chemical laboratory, is engaged to the geologist Roberto Bassani. After a meeting with Andy, a professor of African literature, weird and mysterious events start occurring in Silvia¿s life. In her house, all of a sudden objects are having a life of their own: horrible hallucinations disturb the woman¿s nights: a mysterious little girl comes into Silvia¿s life bringing with her a shadow of fear. Slowly her life undergoes radical changes. She leaves her job, quarrels with Roberto, neglects herself and withdraws more and more into herself, fascinated and terrorised by those extraordinary events...
