DEGADA SAF were founded as a duo, in the North East of Italy, by Fausto Crocetta in 1983.

In 1984 they had their first album ¿No Inzro¿ released on Rockgarage Records.

The critics and public¿s response was very positive, as it was considered one of the most original works of Italian new wave electronic music. At the same time they started to perform live, joined by Michele Piovesan, very young keyboard player, with previous experience in new wave bands, and Fabio Semprini, extraordinary drummer, today sadly missed.

In 1986 they got to meet the author Giusto Pio, arranger and collaborator of Franco Battiato, and they released a single under a contract with Polygram, produced by Angelo Carrara, who also produced Battiato, Ligabue, etc.

The two dance-oriented songs will gain some TV appearances for DEGADA SAF, who in 1986 performed as a backing band for Chris de Burgh at Italian huge summer musical event Festivalbar.

The same year the band members decide to split up, due to differences in their goals. At the end of 2005 Fausto and Michele meet again and go into the studio to come out with new recordings which give birth to the new DEGADA SAF project.

In 2008 they self-produced a master and play a test gig in Jesolo, with an encouraging response for the originality of the songs and the dynamic impact of their sound. In 2009 they meet Lorenzo Montanà (musician and producer of Italian electro starlet Tying Tiffany) who has founded a new Bologna based label ¿Disco Dada Records¿.

The collaboration¿s outcome is an album titled ¿Without Religions¿, sung in English and almost totally electronic with some electric guitar inserts.

The album¿s released on DiscoDadaRecords, published and distributed by IRMA records.
