OUGENWEIDE-Ouwe War-70s Medieval Rock Folk-NEW CD
OUGENWEIDE-
Ouwe War
NEW CD
If a German band may be schm¿cken with having joined as the first Middle High German texts with modern music, then the Hamburg OUGENWEIDE.
What today is prδsentiert as medieval rock and neo-folk of groups like Corvux Corax, Schandmaul or Adaro, has its roots clearly the early seventies.
So it is no accident that said bands are gl¿hende admirer of OUGENWEIDE and rely on the reverse side of invoice hamburger. The occupation started in the legendδren Frank and Stefan Wulff, Minne Graw, Olaf Casalich, Wolfgang von Henko and J¿rgen Isenbart their triumph by German land, thereby playing unzδhlige concerts, television and theater for live work and about three quarters of a million records sold.
When Punk and New Wave in the early eighties the music scene in disorder, the German medieval band No 1 moved to a furious farewell tour zur¿ck vφllig without rancor. They had even experimented with new techniques, but their time was just over. 1996 verφffentlichte EMI with "SOL" a new album by OUGENWEIDE that prδsentierte zeitgemδ¿ the band, with strong ambient and ethno-Einfl¿ssen - but without Isenbart J¿rgen and Minne Graw.
The turn was her only musical contribution outside OUGENWEIDE 1993 album "AGES" rock poets The Perc Meets The Hidden Gentleman at. "Sol did not have the desired result, and so the musicians moved back zur¿ck in other musical areas. What remains are the impressive drives, the memory of unbelievable concerts and a rock-hard fan base gro¿e that knows how to this day that the legendδren discography OUGENWEIDE are not yet released on CD.
2004 then Sireena verφffentlicht Records in collaboration with the musicians of the retrospective "The Wol Mich hour" (Sireena 2021) and stands in the sprichwφrtliche wasp nest. The enthusiasm ¿ber previously unverφffentlichten shots is unbelievable. Prδsentation to the CD in the Hamburger Knust occurs OUGENWEIDE to do with the original band and hinterlδsst a euphoric public. After this performance and the success of the CD it was clear that it w¿rde be a sequel.
And is now available. "Ouwe War" (Sireena 2023) is again a collection of unverφffentlichten live recordings coming from the archives of the band. In particular, the songs of the 1977 Tour are a delight, the band is at the zenith of her career, and the hφrt to the musicians and the audience. It races with excitement. In the instrumental "Ronde" and "How Can I Keep My Maidenhead" ballroom dancing, the song "De Ruiter" is a tribute to the 1982 hollδndischen fans, and for "Ouwe how despicable" Pete plays a forecast derma¿en gδnsehδutende violin that there is something to behold. The Fr¿hzeit the band is gew¿rdigt with the classic "The Fox" from 1974. The album ends with a disco version of "Off course springs. If anyone's allowed to, then OUGENWEIDE.
Was a successful showcase that the comparison with the letztjδhrigen Vorlδufer need not fear. A must for live not only the fans
